How long have you been with miLEAD?

Since October 2023

What is the focus of your research?

My research focuses on stem cell homeostasis of the adrenal cortex.

What are your current career goals?

My current career goals are to enter a biotech company after completing my PhD.

What roles have you played on projects?

I have been a consultant on two miLEAD projects.

What led you to seek out milead?

I sought out miLEAD because I wanted experience interacting with companies from diverse industries to complement my academic research. I also wanted to collaborate with my peers who have similar goals to me and expand my network at UofM.

Since joining miLEAD, what skills have you been able to develop?

Since joining miLEAD I have greatly developed my communication, presentation, and research skills. I have learned how to effectively work with a team to synthesize large amounts of information into concise and clear presentations to provide to clients. My presentations both in miLEAD and in lab meetings have greatly improved throughout the time I have been in miLEAD.

What has been one of your most rewarding experiences thus far working with miLEAD?

It has been very rewarding to have the final meeting with clients and hear them be pleased with the work we put forth and request to work with miLEAD again in the future. It is a testament to the hard work of the team throughout the project and shows how effective collaboration can make a successful project come together.
